Welcome — and thank you for helping test caidal. This takes about 10 minutes, and no tech skills are needed. If you can install an app, you can do this.
You'll need an iPhone (or iPad) on a recent version of iOS. If anything won't install, it's usually because the phone needs a quick update: Settings → General → Software Update.
1 · Get the app (three steps)
caidal isn't in the App Store yet, so we use Apple's official tool for trying apps early, called TestFlight. It's made by Apple and completely safe.
- Install TestFlight — open the App Store, search “TestFlight,” and tap Get (it's free).
- Accept your invitation — open the “You're invited to test caidal” email on your iPhone and tap “View in TestFlight,” then Accept.
- Install caidal — tap Install. That's it — caidal is now on your home screen.
Because it's a test version, caidal may update often. When it does, TestFlight will let you know — just tap Update.
2 · Your first time opening caidal
- You can skip anything. If a screen feels like too much, look for “Skip and revisit in app” — you can always fill things in later.
- Setting up your Profile is optional but helpful — the more caidal knows, the more personalized its guidance. Share only what you're comfortable with.
- Take your time. Nothing is permanent, and you can change everything later.
3 · Apple Health (totally optional)
caidal can connect to Apple Health to read your clinical records so its answers are more tailored to you. This is optional — the app works fully without it. If you'd rather not, just skip that step.
- If you'd like to try it, tap “Turn On All” (or pick items) when caidal asks, then Allow.
- caidal only reads what you approve; you can turn it off anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
- On an iPad, Apple Health isn't available — that's normal; everything else still works.
4 · Is my information safe?
- Sharing is your choice, item by item — by default your data stays on your phone.
- What you do share is sent securely to OpenAI only to generate your answers.
- Your data is not used to train AI models, and not visible to anyone else.
- You're always in control — review, remove, or delete anything at any time.
5 · How to share your thoughts
This is the whole point — your honest first impressions. Two easy ways:
- Inside TestFlight: take a screenshot while using caidal, and TestFlight will offer to send it to us with a note.
- Or just email us anything — what confused you, what you liked, what felt off. Even “I didn't get it” is incredibly useful.
